Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam aims to win one or two medals at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with highest hope pinned on weightlifters Thach Kim Tuan and Vuong Thi Huyen and marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh.

Following is the list of the 23 athletes representing the country at the Games:

1. Weightlifting

· Thach Kim Tuan (born in 1994), competition category: men’s 56kg

· Vuong Thi Huyen (born in 1992), competition category: women’s 48kg

· Tran Le Quoc Toan (born in 1989), competition category: men’s 56kg

· Hoang Tuan Tai (born in 1990), competition category: men’s 85kg

2. Shooting

· Hoang Xuan Vinh (born in 1974), competition category: men’s 10m air pistol, 50m pistol

· Tran Quoc Cuong (born in 1974), competition category: men’s 10m air pistol, 50m pistol

3. Swimming

· Nguyen Thi Anh Vien (born in 1996), competition category: women’s 200m and 400m freestyle, 200m and 400m medley

· Hoang Quy Phuoc (born in 1994), competition category: men’s 100m and 200m freestyle

4. Athletics

· Nguyen Thi Huyen (born in 1993), competition category: women’s 400m and 400m hurdles
