RoK ambassador honoured with friendship order

The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s outgoing ambassador has received the Vietnamese State’s Friendship Order for his contributions to stepping up bilateral friendship and multifaceted cooperation.
The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s outgoing ambassador has received the Vietnamese State’s Friendship Order for his contributions to stepping up bilateral friendship and multifaceted cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem presented the award to RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Im Hong Jae at a ceremony organised in the capital city of Hanoi on March 5.

Khiem said that the Vietnamese State , Government and Foreign Ministry, through this award, express their deep gratitude and admiration for the ambassador’s sincere and effective contributions to enhancing mutual understanding, trust, and friendship between the two countries’ people.

Ambassador Im also helped promote and expand cooperation in a wide range of fields between Vietnam and the RoK, lifting their bilateral relationship to the level of “strategic cooperative partnership.”

The RoK diplomat thanked the Vietnamese State and people for the award, calling it his greatest honour during his term of office in the country. He promised to continue nurturing friendship between their two peoples as well as the RoK-Vietnam strategic cooperative partnership.
