Seoul (VNA) – The Trade Ministry of the Republic of Korea hasannounced that it will hold a second meeting of a government-civilian panel todiscuss winning major projects from the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam onJune 22.

Representatives from the trade, infrastructure and fisheriesministries will take part in the meeting to review the state of progress inprojects already undertaken and discuss support measures for projects expectedto be awarded to Korean companies at the end of this year and the start of nextyear, the Yonhap news reported.

The trade ministry will focus on supporting the workinggroup on investment and development of coal and road infrastructure in Vietnamand inviting senior-level officials from the UAE and the Asian country.

The infrastructure ministry is due to launch an agency atthe end of this month specifically to promote city development businessoverseas while exploring new projects, including airports and intelligenttransportation systems, officials said.

Fisheries officials have been sent to the UAE to help winport construction bids, and the ministry will provide consulting for overseasport development businesses.

The panel was launched in May to follow up on bilateralcooperation discussions during President Moon Jae-in's visits to the twocountries.-VNA

The equipment was provided under Japan’s Official Security Assistance (OSA) framework.
