Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – Kyungdong University of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on May 11 granted scholarships worth 26 billion VND (1.17 million USD) to 42 high-school students in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue who are going to learn at the university.
Among these students, five received full-tuition scholarships, while 28 are provided with 70 percent of tuitions and nine with 50 percent of tuitions in four years.
The first exam for Kyung University scholarships was organised in July 2015 for students across Vietnam.
Through this exam, the university chose 568 outstanding students to receive scholarships totaling over 91 billion VND.
The scholarship granting aims to intensify the Vietnam-RoK relations and boost the bilateral cultural and educational cooperation.
About 4,500 Vietnamese students are currently pursuing education in the RoK.-VNA
