RoK press spotlights PM Pham Minh Chinh’s visit

The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s press continues to spotlight Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s recent visit to the country.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s press continues to spotlight Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s recent visit to the country.

The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) reported the meeting between President Yoon Suk Yeol and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, in which the RoK leader asked Vietnam to promote bilateral investment, support Korean enterprises doing businesses in the country. He also expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to reinforce collaboration in a number of fields, including customs clearance procedures.

For his part, PM Chinh praised President Yoon's to Vietnam in June 2023. Bilateral relations between Vietnam and the RoK have flourished in many areas on the basis of the comprehensive strategic partnership. The two countries have huge potential in further develop their ties in the future.

The KBS also reported on meetings of the Vietnamese leader with leaders of RoK’s big economic groups, including Samsung, GS Engineering & Construction, Hyosung, and Lotte. During the meetings, they discussed a wide range of economic collaboration plans, including investment and future projects.

The broadcasting system featured information about the PM’s meeting with Chairman of Samsung Group. It said the two sides exchanged opinions on plans to expand cooperation. Chairman Lee Jae Yong highly appreciated the development of cooperation between Samsung and Vietnam in recent years, thanking the Vietnamese government for supporting businesses to overcome difficulties during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The chairman pledged to develop the Samsung display factory in Vietnam into the group’s largest display module production globally.

Meanwhile, the PM highly valued results of Samsung Group’s business activities in Vietnam, actively contributing to Vietnam's socio-economic development. He asked Samsung to promote activities of Samsung's Research and Development (R&D) Centre in Hanoi as well as expanding cooperation with Vietnamese businesses./.
