Seoul (VNA) -
Korea Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation (aT) has announced plan to diversify its agricultural exports, focusing on areas in the New Southern Policy and New Northern Policy that the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s government is promoting.

The company has selected India, Cambodia and Mongolia as top nations to support the exports of farm produce.

It will increase the number of K-Fresh Zone locations which sell fresh farm produce to 30 in five countries and territories, including Vietnam and Hong Kong.

The firm will also promote projects to support goods transport in order to boost exports of fresh farm produce to members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

It will provide some 50,000 tonnes of rice for countries through the international agriculture cooperation programmes.

This year, aT will increase the number of farm produce stores in localities of small-and medium-sized enterprises and help businesses to boost domestic sales and exports.

Director General of aT Lee Byung-ho said the company will increase support for the export of fresh farm produce and agricultural products using domestic materials along with projects directly related to farmers’ income and agricultural production infrastructure.-VNA
