Rotterdam Mayor welcomed in HCM City

The host thanked the Mayor andRotterdam authorities for their help in studying and implementingsolutions for climate change, as well as in fields of economics, trade,investment, tourism and education over the past time.

The cityofficial noted HCM City is facing challenges caused by climate change,therefore it wishes to intensify collaboration with Rotterdam in thefields and boost links with other cities of the Netherlands in climatechange-related fields.

For his part, the Mayor highlighted the development of relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands as well as the two cities.

Hestressed the significance of the two cities’ continued cooperation inthe fields of mutual concern, particularly climate change adaptation,affirming the Netherlands’ willingness to share experience and help HCMCity as well as Vietnam in the area.

During the reception, thetwo leaders compared notes on issues relating to climate change, seaportdevelopment and infrastructure construction.-VNA

In an interview with Vietnam News Agency correspondents in Beijing, Professor Zhu Chenming, honorary director of the Institute of South and Southeast Asian Studies under the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, said the official visit to China by National Assembly (NA) President Tran Thanh Man would promote exchanges between the two legislative bodies and contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

Cambodian media give heavy coverage to Vietnamese PM’s visit

The Khmer Times reported that the two PMs witnessed the signing of six agreements spanning national security, drug prevention and control, trade, culture and education. Companies also exchanged five economic documents at the Vietnam-Cambodia Business Forum 2026. The newspaper said the visit bolsters political trust and economic integration ahead of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2027.
