Sa Pa’s tourist attractions to resume operations soon

Many tourist attractions in Sa Pa town in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai are set to resume operations this weekend, after over 10 days being closed due to typhoon Yagi.

To welcome back tourists, the People’s Committee of Sa Pa town has requested establishments to ensure absolute safety for visitors and tourism workers.

These establishments must take full responsibility for their operations, stay updated on weather conditions, and remind visitors to follow safety regulations.

Additionally, they are working to address the typhoon’s aftermath, coordinating with local authorities to clean and sanitize roads, and restore the landscape at tourist attractions.

In the first 8 months of this year, Lao Cai welcomed some 5.6 million visitors, and most of them came to Sa Pa.

Sa Pa is the renowned resort town in Lao Cai, which has gone through 120 years of tourism development. It is the only representative from Vietnam to be selected in the list of the “Most Beautiful Small Towns in The World” by the British magazine Time Out in March 2024./.
