Corsair Marine International, a subsidiary of Australia’s SeaWind Group wants to invest in a luxury sailboat building plant in central Da Nang city, according to the Da Nang People’s Committee of Da Nang.
Mike Rees, General Director of Corsair Marine International, has a fact-finding visit to Da Nang and worked with the municipal officials.
Under its plan, Corsair Marine International will construct a plant building catamaran and trimaran yachts and providing repair and upgrade services for luxury yachts. All sailboats will be built using composite and carbon fibers.
SeaWind Group has supplied between 60 and 100 sailboats to the US, European and Australian markets.
Vietnam currently has five yachts built by the Australian group and being used in resorts in Nha Trang, the central province of Khanh Hoa.
