The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a nationwide short-film competition in response to the Earth Hour 2013 campaign.
The films, not more than 10 minutes long, should present views from different angles on energy saving and environment protection.
Both professional and amateur movie makers are encouraged to take part in the contest. Entries should be sent before 17h on March 10 to IPRO company, 20 Phan Dinh Phung Street, Hanoi, or posted onto Youtube.com and Mediafire.com, with links sent by email to giotraidat@ipro.com.
The prizes include one special prize worth 15 million VND and a creative prize. There will be another prize for the film receiving the most votes by viewers.
Vietnam Earth Hour 2013 campaign is sponsored by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Electrolux Vietnam Co.Ltd, with technical assistance of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam . The main event will be organised in front of Hanoi Opera House from 8 pm on March 23.
From 2013, the global Earth Hour will be held on the 3 rd Saturday of March, instead of the last Saturday as in previous years.-VNA
