After nearly 40 years of farming and exporting, Vietnam shrimp has become one of the main export items of the agricultural sector.
Shrimp is expected to bring Vietnam 10 billion USD to fulfill its dream of becoming the world's number one shrimp capital.
According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, brackish shrimp are being farmed in 30 provinces and cities, including 2 species: black tiger shrimp (native species) and white leg shrimp.
Over many years of development, up to now, the breeding area for shrimp has reached over 720,000 hectares, the output has reached nearly 690,000 tons, making shrimp a major commodity product in our country.
