The 2013 Siemens Vietnam Day, set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on June 28, will mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Siemens Vietnam, which is hailed as one of the most successful multinational companies in Vietnam.
Siemens Vietnam has engaged in many successful projects in the fields of energy, industry, healthcare and transport in the country, said Dr. Pham Thai Lai, Siemens Vietnam General Director.
During the Siemens Vietnam Day recently held in Hanoi, Siemens and the Vietnam Motors Industry Corporation (Vinamotor) launched the first bus model using ELFA technology, which helps slash fuel consumption by 50 percent, contributing to reducing gaseous emission to the environment.
The company pledges to provide most advanced and efficient technologies for the country’s electricity production, along with new solutions helping the oil and gas industry’s economical and sustainable exploitation of natural resources.
It has also committed to making Vietnam’s manufacturing industry highly competitive on the world stage.-VNA
