Siemens hosts seminar on wind energy in Hanoi

On April 17 the German company Siemens-Vietnam held a seminar to present its latest wind power technologies.
On April 17 the German company Siemens-Vietnam held a seminar to present its latest wind power technologies.

The event attracted almost 50 representatives fromcompanies and large corporations from Vietnam ’s powergenerating industry.

At the seminar ,Siemens specialists from Denmark and Singaporeintroduced the new products and the company’smost advanced technologies used to harness wind power.

They also discussed the selection of sites, wind directions , ways of conveying power,maintenance methods and financial issues for wind power projectsin Vietnam .

According to ErdalElver , the President and Chief Executive Officer ofSiemens in Vietnam, by the end of 2011, Siemens willhave supplied and installed approximately10,600 wind turbines, with the capacity togenerate around 16,000 MW of electricityworldwide . This will reduce CO2 emissions by just over25 million tonnes a year.

Siemensis currently one of the world’s leading electrical and electronicscompanies. It is hoping to start up several wind energy projects inVietnam.-VNA

Cashless payments open gateway to financial inclusion

Cashless payments continued to grow rapidly in the first eight months of 2026. The number and value of cashless transactions rose 34.56% and 13.26% year-on-year, respectively, while online transactions increased 46.57% in number and 21.77% in value.
