Singapore, China enhance cooperation in CCI framework

Singapore and China have reached eight MoUs on promoting cooperation in areas including financial services, trade in food products, transport and logistics.

Singapore (VNA) –Singapore and China have reached eight MoUs on promoting cooperation in areas including financial services, trade infood products, transport and logistics.


The Singapore Trade andIndustry Ministry said on May 12 that the deals were signed at a teleconferenceof the Joint Implementation Committee for the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative(CCI). However, the ministry did not elaborate on the details of theagreements.

The ministry said discussions at the conference focused on ways to enhance cooperation in thethree priority fields in the framework of CCI, which are financial services,aviation and logistics-transport, as well as how to promote the CCI-NewInternational Land-Sea Trade Corridor (CCI-ILSTC).   

In the CCI framework, a total of 34 projects have beenproposed, covering such fields as commerce logistics, smart manufacturing,smart tourism and internet of things (IoT)./.
