Singaporeans are flocking to beautifully decorated streets to enjoy the festive atmosphere and plunge themselves into the Christmas joy in an area full of bustling shopping malls.

- Singaporeans are flocking to beautifully decoratedstreets toenjoy the festive atmosphere and plunge themselves into the Christmas joy in an area full of bustling shopping malls.

They have eagerly waited for the Christmas carnival with the presence of famousDisney cartoon characters, which will be organised in the country for the firsttime. The largest one in Southeast Asia is taking place in a 3-km streetdecorated with hundreds of sparkling street lights.

The event offers a chance for visitors and locals to joinvibrant performance pogrammes on streets, learn how to make handicrafts, andenjoy foods in exhibition areas.

Besides the event, which will last through the New Year day, a series of others arebeing held in Singapore  such as the ChristmasWonderland festival, the Hongbao festival featuring giant lanterns, fireworkdisplay and a count-down party to welcome the New Year2019.-VNA
