Singapore has revoked work permits held by all citizens from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the country, according to a Singapore’s report submitted to the United Nations (UN) Security Council.

Hanoi (VNA) -Singapore has revoked work permits held by all citizens from the DemocraticPeople’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the country, according to a Singapore’sreport submitted to the United Nations (UN) Security Council.

In the report, the Singaporeangovernment said it will not grant new work passes to nationals of the DPRK, inline with the UN Resolution 2397 which imposed sanctions over the DPRK.

The resolution, adopted inDecember 2017, calls for the UN members to repatriate DPRK nationals earningincome in their jurisdictions within 12 months and bans nearly 90 percent ofoil export activities to the country.-VNA
