Sixth Party Congress: Initiating and leading renewal process
In the spirit of “looking straight at the truth, evaluating the truth properly and speaking the truth”, the sixth National Party Congress affirmed the determination to reform the Party’s leadership in the spirit of revolution and science.

The fourth National Party Congress, held from December 14-20, 1976, reviewed the resistance war against the US imperialists for national salvation, and guiding the nation towards socialism.
The third National Party Congress took place on September 5-10, 1960 in Hanoi to review 30 years of Party leadership and put forth theoretical and practical lessons of the Vietnamese revolution under the Party’s leadership.
Banners, flowers and flags can be seen everywhere, especially main streets in Hanoi, to welcome the upcoming 13th National Party Congress. The whole city looks fresh and vibrant as if it just worn a new coat.
Over the past five years, Vietnam’s external affairs have produced outstanding results, thus helping consolidate national security, create favourable conditions for economic development and elevate the country’s position in the international arena.
The fourth National Party Congress held from December 14-20, 1976, reviewed the resistance war against the US imperialists for national salvation, and guiding the nation towards socialism.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will host a film screening to celebrate the 13th National Party Congress, the 91st anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) and the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
The 13th National Party Congress will mark a new milestone in the development process of Vietnam and its Party, as it will shape the country’s future and propel its international integration, said Nicolas Dervaux, Representative of the Governments of the French-Speaking Community of Belgium and the Walloon Region in Vietnam.
The Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam was held from March 27-31, 1982 in Hanoi. The Congress reviewed the victories that the Party and people have won in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland since 1975.
As the 13th National Party Congress is approaching, Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic have expressed high expectations for the once-in-five-years event.
