A corner for calligraphy at the festival (Source: Internet) Hanoi (VNA) – The Spring Festival 2018 will take place fromFebruary 2-8, 2018 at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts inHanoi prior to the traditional New Year (Tet) festival.
The event will demonstrate traditional practices of Vietnamese people duringTet, including arranging fruits, making “Chung” cakes and writing parallelsentences. A flower fair will also be held.
Artisans from various traditional trade villages will perform at theevent.
The event also includes an exhibit of more than 100 pictures themed“travelling through heritages”, introducing world heritage in Vietnam,beautiful landscapes across the nation, trade villages and traditionalfestivals.
Notably, there will be a corner to showcase Tet before 1975. Tocelebrate the year of the dog, the organisation board will highlight famouscelebrities in the country’s history who were born in years of the dog, alongwith major historical events in the years of the dog.
Visitors to the festival can enjoy typical traditional foods in thenorthern region.
Various art performances, street art and circus shows will be held,drawing famous artists.
Additionally, safe goods and agricultural products will be introducedand sold throughout the event.-VNA
