State President extends New Year greetings

President Truong Tan Sang extended his best wishes to all Vietnamese people on the eve of Lunar New Year.
State President Truong Tan Sang, on behalf of the Party and State, extended his seasonal greetings and best wishes to all Vietnamese people at home and abroad on the eve of the traditional lunar New Year (Tet).

In his message, the President recalled that in 2014, Vietnamese people were united to overcome all challenges and difficulties to maintain a peaceful environment and political and social stability, and boost economic and cultural development, external relations, and international integration.

“In 2015, we need to strive harder to achieve the targets of the 5-year development plan, safeguard national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, continue to consolidate the Party, State, and political system, and fight corruption, wastefulness, red-tape, and moral degradation among State officials and Party members,” he emphasised.

He affirmed that this will contribute significantly to the success of Party congresses at all levels toward the 12th National Party Congress.

“With patriotism and national pride we will continue to implement the 2013 Constitution, exercise democracy, increase discipline, publicity, and transparency, and accelerate national renewal in order to make Vietnam an industrialised nation in the future and ensure a happy, free, and prosperous life for everyone.”
