State President Nguyen Minh Triet called on people nationwide to actively aid and care for war invalids, ailing soldiers and the families of those fallen in combat as well as those who rendered great services to the nation.

“The Party, the State, and the people have always been grateful to fallen combatants, war invalids, ailing soldiers, and the families of those who well-served the cause of the nation’s revolution,” President Triet confirmed during his visit to a centre that cares for war invalids in Hanoi’s outlying Ung Hoa district on July 22.

He reiterated that the Party, the State, and the people consider caring for those who sacrificed so much for the nation’s revolution as an obligation they need to undertake to repay the fallen, the injured, and the grieving for what they have done for the nation.

The State President praised the staff of the centre in Ung Hoa district for having so far provided care for more than 11,000 people who rendered services to the nation.

He also lauded these heroes of the revolution and their families for surmounting difficulties in life and continuing to make contributions to society and the country./.
