State President works with defence, security ministries

At the session with the Ministry of Defence, PresidentSang highly valued the ministry’s achievements, including goodperformance of its functions of advising the Party on national defenceand military affairs and implementation of protection of territorialsovereignty, contributing to maintaining an environment of peace andnational political security.

He urged the ministries’ leaders tocontinue comprehensively renewing leadership and instruction onimplementing national defence tasks and policies in the spirit of theResolution of the 11 th National Party Congress and in line with therequirements of the new situation.

He also asked the ministryto take effective measures to bring Party Central Committee Resolutionsinto its training, raising combat readiness and meeting new demands.

Atthe session with the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Lieut. GenTran Dai Quang informed President Sang of the political securitysituation, social order and results of the cooperation between hisministry with the State President’s Office while raising a number ofproposals to the Party and State.

For his part,Sang applauded achievements the ministry has recorded in combatingcrime, security and order guarantee, force development, administrativereform and amnesty work in 2011.

The Stateleader analysed possible factors affecting security and order in thefuture and gave instructions on building a crack public security forceto successfully fulfil assigned tasks, contributing to socio-economicdevelopment and protecting people’s peaceful lives./.
