The Thai Meteorological Department has reported that super typhoon Mangkhut will affect the country next week.
Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – The ThaiMeteorological Department has reported that super typhoon Mangkhut will affect thecountry next week.

Typhoon Mangkhut is expected to follow tropicalstorm Barijat, which weakened to a low pressure, from the Pacific Ocean,passing over Luzon Island in the Philippines to reach Taiwanbetween September 14 and 15 before entering the East Sea, again bringingmonsoon conditions to Thailand during between September 17 and 19. 

Provinces in the upper northeast have been warned of downpoursand possible flash floods. Farmers have been told to protect their crops, whileriverside communities are at risk of overflows.

Thai citizens are urged to follow weather reports and warnings from theMeteorological Department.-VNA
