Politburo member and Standing member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu will lead a high-ranking CPV delegation to attend the memorial service for Politburo member and President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane in Vientiane, Laos, on August 12, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Politburo member and Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu paid a courtesy call on President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane in Vientiane on November 10 as part of his working visit to the neighbouring country.

President of the Lao National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane left Hanoi on December 8 afternoon, successfully concluding his official visit to Vietnam from December 6-8 at the invitation of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Major Lao newspapers on December 7 featured the ongoing Vietnam visit by Chairman of the Lao National Assembly xaysomphone Phomvihane, stressing that it not only further strengthens close-knit ties between the two legislatures but also further deepens ties between the two nations.
