During a meeting with the UNRWA official in Manila, the Philippines on July 22, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Hoang Giang affirmed Vietnam’s consistent support for UNRWA’s role and operations, praising its efforts to maintain humanitarian, educational and healthcare assistance for Palestinians amid the complex situation.

Vietnam will continue its support for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in promoting and making efforts to provide humanitarian aid for Palestinian civilians, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Vietnam’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) has said.

Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, representing the Royal Thai Government, extended a contribution of 3 million THB (84,530 USD) to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

Vietnam has called on the United Nations and countries to pay greater attention to ensuring security and safety for UN peacekeeping forces, strengthening the application of information technology in implementing operations, and defining tasks and resources for missions.
