Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have always cherished the valuable support extended by the Communist Party and people of former Czechoslovakia, as well as by the KSCM and Czech people today.
As part of his official visit to the Czech Republic, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil in Prague on January 20 afternoon (local time).

Vietnam values the Czech Republic’s past and ongoing support in nation-building and defense. This strong foundation has fostered close, multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.
At the invitation of Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pays an official visit to the Czech Republic from January 18 to 20, 2025. The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic (February 2, 1950 – February 2, 2025). Building on the foundation of 75 years of diplomatic ties, the visit is expected to serve as a catalyst for elevating the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
