The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam forecasts that the country’s aviation market will handle 94 million passengers and more than 1.6 million tonnes of cargo in 2026, up 13% and 9.3%, respectively, from 2025.

Vietnam’s airlines have so far this year transported 54.7 million passengers and 435,000 tonnes of cargo, respectively 11.4 percent and 7.6 percent higher than the figures last year, revealed Vo Huy Cuong, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, on December 13.

Vietnam’s airlines have announced their plans to adjust flights on November 24 to avoid impacts from Typhoon Usagi, which is forecast to make landfall the south central region in the night of November 24 or the morning of November 25.
