Vietnamese dance and traditional music classes organised by the Viet-Aus Culture Exchange Organisation (VACEO) have been held every Saturday afternoon in Bankstown, Sydney.

The main challenge is how to match overseas Vietnamese experts with domestic needs and utilise their expertise to generate practical results in support of the nation.

National Assembly President Tran Thanh Man reaffirmed that the Party and State regard overseas Vietnamese as an inseparable part of the nation and are committed to mobilising their potential and supporting their legitimate interests.

Canada's research strength paired with Vietnam's manpower, market size and speed of adoption could address national-level challenges and help small- and medium-sized enterprises modernise production and tap into the international innovation ecosystem, said Assoc. Prof. Vu Viet Hung.

For the 2026–2028 tenure, the SVAU will continue placing students at the centre of its activities, strengthen its organisation and network, and promote digital transformation and innovation.

Overseas Vietnamese scientists do not have to return to Vietnam for long-term work to make an impact. They can contribute by joining collaborative research teams, sharing analytical techniques, facilitating access to modern equipment, and linking Vietnam with international labs and universities.

Vietnamese intellectuals in Australia and New Zealand expressed a desire to contribute to their homeland not only through consultations, but also through specific projects, tasks and cooperation mechanisms.

Vietnam always values and remembers the meaningful contributions made by Hungarian friends during Vietnam’s struggle for national independence and reunification. The sincere bonds nurtured across generations have provided a special foundation for the friendship between the two countries.

The resolution offers a broader approach, with contributions possible through knowledge, experience or by connecting businesses, universities and research institutes in Vietnam and abroad. Individual contributions may be small, but when multiplied, they can create significant strength.

Ambassador Mai Phan Dung expressed hope that Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Switzerland will continue contributing through various forms, including policy consultations and recommendations, participation in research and training, technology transfer, and connections between universities, research institutes, businesses and international organisations and their Vietnamese counterparts.

This year, lessons will weave Vietnamese culture, history and everyday life into the curriculum, tailored to each age group.

The Vietnamese community in Belarus had embraced the resolution, recognising that the Party and State consider OVs not only an integral part of the nation but also an important force making practical contributions to national socio-economic development and defence, said Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Trung.

General Secretary and President Lam stressed that bilateral friendship and cooperation have been nurtured by people living and working in both countries, with the Vietnamese community in Canada playing an important bridging role.

At a meeting with representatives of the Canadian Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Association (CVSEA) on September 25 (local time), the top leader praised the contributions and professional capabilities of Vietnamese experts and intellectuals in Canada, describing them as a valuable intellectual resource and an important bridge connecting Vietnam with Canada and the wider world.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has named the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) as the focal point to gather research problems and match them with experts under national sci-tech schemes, said NAFOSTED Deputy Director Nguyen Phu Binh. Building on its existing AI network, NAFOSTED will build a system to track those problems alongside a database of Vietnamese scientists abroad.
