The United Nations (UN) always plays an important role in Vietnam’s foreign policy and accompanies the country in the process of national construction and development, thus creating favourable conditions to enhance its position and image in the international arena and deepen its relations with other nations around the world.

Ministers of some Asian countries and representatives of organisations pledged to promote bilateral, regional and international cooperation in combating drug crime in a joint statement issued at a meeting in Hanoi on September 10.
Vietnam supports the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)’s provision of technical assistance to tackle increasing challenges in drug crime control on a global scale.
