The People’s Committee of northern Bac Giang province held a ceremony on March 1 to receive 100 cherry blossom trees present by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Chukyo region.
The Hanoi People’s Committee and Japan’s AEON Group planted 1,000 more cherry blossom trees in Hoa Binh park on February 23, raising the total cherry blossom trees here to 1,700.
The Japanese retail group AEON planted 500 more cherry blossom trees at the Hoa Binh Park in Hanoi on March 10 as part of the activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.
