Bac Giang receives 100 cherry blossom trees from Japan

The People’s Committee of northern Bac Giang province held a ceremony on March 1 to receive 100 cherry blossom trees present by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Chukyo region.

Bac Giang (VNA) – ThePeople’s Committee of northern Bac Giang province held a ceremony on March 1 toreceive 100 cherry blossom trees present by the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Associationof Chukyo region.

Speaking at the event, Minister OkabeDaisuke of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam hoped that Bac Giang residents willlove the symbolic flower of Japan.

He expressed his hoped that relationsbetween Bac Giang and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Chukyo regionwill further thrive.

Vice Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Le Anh Duong said 23 projects invested by Japanese enterpriseshave generated jobs for thousands of workers.

He asked the Japan-VietnamFriendship Association of Chukyo region to provide technical instructions tocherry blossom tree planting in the province and introduce Japanese firms to seekbusiness opportunities there.

From 2015-2018, the Japan-VietnamFriendship Association of Chukyo region presented 600 cherry blossom trees to BacGiang province.

On the occasion, a memorial stelefor the cherry bloom tree project was inaugurated. The trees will be planted inYen The district.

The provincial People’s Committeealso presented symbols of Vinh Nghiem pagoda and King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong to theJapan-Vietnam Friendship Association of Chukyo region.-VNA

Hanoi: 95% of administrative procedures to be handled from home

The plan targets that at least 80% of administrative procedures under the city’s authority will be provided as fully online public services, while more than 95% of applications will be received and processed entirely online. By June 30, 2026, about 80% of administrative procedures are expected to be restructured based on integrated data systems, with the figure rising to 95% by the end of the year.

Central Civil Defence Fund established to bolster disaster response

The Central Civil Defence Fund is authorised to receive, manage and use voluntary contributions from domestic and foreign entities and individuals, plus transfers from provincial civil defence funds in line with the PM’s decisions and allocations from relevant state financial sources outside the state budget, all earmarked for incident and disaster response and recovery efforts.
