Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting in Hanoi on April 3 to look into the electricity supply and the provision of coal and gas for power generation.
The first phase of a 380 million USD HFO power plant in Kandal province’s Lvea Em district will begin operations in April and produce 100MW of electricity, said the Cambodian Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The southern region must speed up delayed power projects to ensure sufficient energy supply and use cutting-edge technologies to reduce energy waste, experts have said.
