Vietnam’s seafood export turnover in the first 11 months of 2020 hit 7.75 billion USD, down 0.9 percent from the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
Vietnam’s seafood export turnover in June reached 794 million USD, raising the total value for the first half of the year to nearly 4 billion USD, up 0.3 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Agro Processing and Market Development Authority (AgroTrade).
Vietnam’s seafood export turnover in November reached 852 million USD, raising the total value in 11 months to 8.1 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 6.8 percent.
Vietnam’s seafood export turnover is expected to reach 8.3 billion USD this year, posting an 18 percent increase over 2016, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.
Vietnam’s aquatic product export turnover reached 618 million USD in May, pushing the total figure in the first five months of 2017 to 2.8 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of 10.4 percent.
Ca Mau province has had difficulties meeting its seafood export turnover goal of 1.35 billion USD this year, according to the provincial Association of Seafood Processors and Exporters.
