At least 10 people have been killed and several others went missing in a landslide that occurred in Indonesia’s western province of Riau Islands on March 6, the National Disaster Management Agency said.
An earthquake measuring 6.6 richter scale struck off Bengkulu province, western Indonesia on August 13, the local meteorology and geophysics agency said.
Indonesian authorities on April 13 said flash floods in Indonesia’s western province of Aceh left two dead and one missing while damaging hundreds of houses. Heavy downpours led to flash floods in Aceh Tenggara and Aceh Barat districts, according to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesperson of the Indonesian National Board of Disaster Managerment (BNPB).
Flooding in western Indonesia has left at least 31 dead and 19 others missing while affecting thousands local livelihoods and damaging houses and buildings.
