Taiwanese firms strike agriculture deals with Quang Ninh province

Businesses from China ’s Taiwan signed five Memoranda of Understanding on agriculture cooperation with their partners from northern Quang Ninh province, in Ha Long city, on December 10.

The cooperation covers orchid planting; tea cultivation andprocessing; mushroom growing; aquatic product preservation; and abalonebreeding.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Dang Huy Hau said Quang Ninh has favourable conditions fordeveloping agriculture and boasts stable consumption market.

However, the province is encountering difficulties in manufacturingand applying science-technology due to financial resource shortage.

He hoped the partnership between local and Taiwanese businesses canproduce products not only for the domestic market but also forexports.-VNA

Vietnam to move PPP bidding online from 2027

From January 1, 2027, PPP project proposals must be submitted through the National E-Procurement System. From September 1, 2027, investor selection for PPP projects tendered through open bidding will move fully online.
