Hanoi (VNA) – TC Motor, a joint venture between Vietnam’s Thanh Cong Group and the Republic of Korea’s Hyundai Motor announced on November 11 that 8,855 Hyundai vehicles were sold in October, an increase of 117 percent compared to the previous month.

The total accumulate sales in the first ten months of this year were 53,182 vehicles.

Hyundai Accent continued to be the best selling model in Vietnam with 3,346 units sold in October. It was followed by Hyundai Tucson with 1,420 units; Hyundai Santa Fe, 1,278; and Grand i10, 1,108.

The respective sales of the four models in the 10-month period were 16,382; 6,165; 8,675 and 9,309.

TC Motor attributed the impressive sale growth in October to the Government’s effective measures on COVID-19 prevention and control and that many provinces and cities have adopted solutions to promote the economy.

People’s demand for vehicles for safe travelling during the pandemic was also a factor that pushed up car sales./
