HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam Technology and Equipment Market (Techmart) in the fields of cultivation, farm produce and food processing and preservation opened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 9.
The two-day event attracts the participation of nearly 50 exhibitors, introducing more than 100 technologies and equipment suitable for demand in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern localities.
Nguyen Ky Phung, deputy head of the municipal Department of Science and Technology, said that the city is focusing on developing hi-tech agriculture, with the aim to apply technology in production to shift from traditional to modern agricultural cultivation.
New technologies that help save cultivation costs and improve the quality of agricultural products are introduced at this year’s event.
Many enterprises are expected to sign deals on technology transfer in the agricultural sector on this occasion.-VNA
