HCM City (VNA) – The Vietnam Technology and Equipment Market (Techmart)in the fields of cultivation, farm produce and food processing and preservationopened in Ho Chi Minh City on May 9.
The two-day eventattracts the participation of nearly 50 exhibitors, introducing more than 100technologies and equipment suitable for demand in Ho Chi Minh City and othersouthern localities.
Nguyen Ky Phung,deputy head of the municipal Department of Science and Technology, said thatthe city is focusing on developing hi-tech agriculture, with the aim to applytechnology in production to shift from traditional to modern agriculturalcultivation.
New technologies thathelp save cultivation costs and improve the quality of agricultural productsare introduced at this year’s event.
Many enterprises areexpected to sign deals on technology transfer in the agricultural sector onthis occasion.-VNA
