Tet celebrated worldwide

Overseas Vietnamese in the Republic of Korea and Bangladesh joined other Vietnamese communities worldwide in celebrating the Lunar New Year (Tet), the eve of which falls on February 2 this year.

The VietnameseEmbassy in the RoK held the celebration on January 29 with theannouncement of the establishment of the Vietnamese Association in theRoK, in the presence of Overseas Vietnamese (OVs), students and guestworkers as well as members of two RoK families of Vietnamese origin, LyHoa Son and Ly Tinh Thien.

Vietnamese AmbassadorTran Trong Toan highly spoke of valuable contributions made by theVietnamese community in the RoK to fruitful national development.

He also recognised their role in promoting relations betweenVietnam and the RoK, describing them as a bridge spanning the twonations.

OV representatives, including bridesgetting married to RoK husbands, expressed their deep love of thefatherland, saying they would never forget their roots.

They also pledged to continue contributing to the nationaldevelopment for a prosperous Vietnam as well as to relations betweenthe two countries.

The celebration warmed uphome-sick expatriates with traditional food and art programmes which sawVietnamese brides and their RoK husbands among the non-professionalartists.

Gatherings for the same purpose were heldby the Vietnamese Embassies to Bangladesh and Italy and by theVietnamese General Consulate in Houston, the US./.

Vietnam’s digital map updates 34 provincial-level administrative units

An 1:1,000,000-scale administrative map of Vietnam online and in digital *.pdf format will be released once the National Assembly’s Resolution on the reorganisation of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 takes effect in oder to promptly support the Prime Minister’s direction and administration, support state management by ministries, sectors, and localities; and meet requirements of organisations and individuals.
