Tet city walk around Hoan Kiem Lake

A special city walk near Hoan Kiem Lake will be hosted by the Friends of Vietnam Heritage (FVH) for the Tet festival.

Hanoi (VNA) - A special city walk near Hoan Kiem Lake will be hostedby the Friends of Vietnam Heritage (FVH) for the Tet festival.

Taking place on the 3rd day of the New Lunar Year, which falls on January27, from 10am until 12am, the walk will start in front of the Ly Thai Tostatue with a brief introduction to the founder of Hanoi. 

As the group stroll through the streets bordering Hoan Kiem Lake, theheart of Hanoi, the members will discuss legends, points of interest andstories, and touch on architecture and the French influence.

This walk is a neat compact introduction to this part of the city. Theorganisers hope participants will discover something they did not knowbefore about this famous area./.

Hanoi offers free parking, public transport during Lunar New Year

During Tet, Hanoi offers free parking at selected schools and locations surrounding central heritage sites. In addition, single-journey fares are waived on the Cat Linh–Ha Dong and Nhon–Hanoi Station metro lines, while subsidised public bus services across the city are operating free of charge during the holiday period.
