Bangkok (VNA/NNT) - The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank ofThailand (SME Bank) has held a seminar offering tips to investors seeking toset up businesses in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. 

Theseminar brought together trade experts familiar with the group of countries,known as CLMV, to give Thai investors an insight into different aspects of theseSoutheast Asian economies. 

SME Bankprovides both knowledge and fund to small and medium enterprises planning to makeinroads into the markets of nearby countries, particularly Cambodia andVietnam. The two countries are in the international spotlight thanks to theirfast-growing economies. 

Experts commented that Phnom Penh is an attractive market formanufacturers of consumption products as daily wages are still lower than othercountries.

The two sides appreciated the strong and close collaboration between Laos and Cambodia as well as their legislative bodies, reflected through the implementation of the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two legislatures, such as all-level delegation exchanges, and experience sharing.

Illegal mobile loan apps found in Thailand

The Bank of Thailand initially reported 10 verified illegal apps offering personal loans, including Fineasy and Happy Loan, to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) under the Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry.
