Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Culture has sent Thai artists to perform atthe Thai-Chinese event, aimed at promoting the relations and cultural heritagesof both countries to the world.
Thai Culture Minister Veera Rojpojanarat said companies ofThai performers have performed at the Folk Art Performances in Hainan, China.The show, entitled "Strengthening Thai-Chinese Relations", has leftimpressive memories among Chinese and international audiences.
The companies include performers from the Likay Associationof Thailand, the youth puppet theater conservation association, drumperformers, traditional Thai dancers, and martial arts performers.
The group from Thailand has also joined and performed atHainan Tourism Festival from November 23 to 27. The ministry had discussed withthe Chinese officials to arrange future cultural performance events and helppromote Thai performances at the international stage, creating good relationsbetween both sides, and exchange cultural knowledge between each other.
In 2017, the Thai Ministry of Culture worked with theMinistry of Foreign Affairs, the government and private firms to arrangealtogether 184 roadshows in 44 countries, including Thai cultural performancesin 16 countries.-NNT/VNA
