A Thai and Malaysian OTOP (One Tambon One Product) exhibition has begun in Yala province of Thailand with many Thais and Malaysians in attendance.
The display, which opened on August 25, aims to give a financial boost to those in both countries who sell OTOP products. The exhibition showcases more than 395 booths of OTOP products made in Yala, among the 573 booths of products made throughout the nation, in addition to an array of commodities from Malaysia .
The event is staged in anticipation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) integration in trade between Thailand and Malaysia
The Malaysian goods include halal products such as food specialties, beverages, herbs, and clothing, whereas Thai products are handicrafts made of wicker and other ornaments that are intended to attract the Malaysian and ASEAN markets in the future.-VNA
