Bangkok (VNA) - Thai police on March 21 announced they have captured drugsworth about 800 million THB (25 million USD) in their recent three bustsagainst the crime.
Ata press conference in Bangkok, the police said four suspects were arrested andone other was killed during the raids.
Inthe first case taking place on March 16, three men were arrested and chargedwith possessing illicit drugs for sale. One of them was killed in a gunfightwith police in Thailand’s northern Chiang Rai province. Police found 8 million methpills, three trucks and a pistol.
Inthe second case police and customs officials arrested a 47-year-old man atBangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport and seized over 1,500 grams of cocaine.
Thelast bust saw a Thai man, 28, arrested on March 19 with more than 2,000 grams of crystalmethamphetamine found in his luggage at the same airport.-VNA
