Thai police seize drug haul (Source: Bangkokpost) Bangkok (VNA) – Thai policeannounced on April 2 that they busted a major drug trafficking ring in Songkhlaprovince, seizing 651kg of crystal meth worth 17 million USD.
They arrested a suspect who was carryingdrugs to the Malaysian border and an accomplice in Phitsanulok province, bothof them Thai nationals.
Police also confiscated two pick-up trucksand three mobile phones.
The suspects are alleged to be part of atransnational drug trafficking ring called Phor Liang Tee, which is believed toengage in drug and human trafficking.
Recently, Thailand has busted many large-scaledrug trafficking rings. In late 2017, the country destroyed some 17 tonnes of drugsworth more than 500 million USD.-VNA
