A Thai anti-government protester was shot dead and four others wounded by unknown assailants on April 1 in Bangkok .
According to Thai authorities, the victims were attacked as they were leaving their rally venue at the Government Complex in northern Bangkok .
They included three men and two women, according to the city's Erawan emergency centre. One man was pronounced dead at hospital, it added.
Since November 2013, when protesters began to occupy streets in Thailand , violations have left 24 people dead.
In late March, Thai anti-government protesters resumed their demonstration and blocked the traffic in an effort to create pressure, forcing caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to step down.-VNA
