Thailand Industry Expo 2019 underway

The Thai Ministry of Industry has organised an event to enable Thai entrepreneurs to accommodate change according to the Thailand 4.0 policy by allowing the industrial sector to play an important role in developing the country’s personnel and providing skills, knowledge and ability in modern science.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Industry has organised anevent to enable Thai entrepreneurs to accommodate change according to theThailand 4.0 policy by allowing the industrial sector to play an important rolein developing the country’s personnel and providing skills, knowledge andability in modern science.

It is the beginning of the country’s transition to the future era.

The Ministry of Industry has cooperated with partner agencies to open the"Thailand Industry Expo 2019” on the concept of  "Synergy for Success" to reflect the views of changes driven by the government sector towardsintegration of cooperation by all sectors to create new opportunities andpossibilities for Thai industries.

Industry Minister Suriya Jungrungruangkit who presided over the openingceremony stated that Thailand is now adjusting to the Thailand 4.0 era, whichfocuses on creating value and benefiting from innovation. The country’spersonnel is being encouraged to develop skills and acquire knowledge of modernscience.
The industrial sector, therefore, plays a part in focusing on the linkbetween workers, people, machinery and equipment that will help create rapideconomic growth. This will lead to income redistribution and a reduction ininequality. It is considered the beginning of creating enough significantchanges to become Thailand 4.0 in the future.-NNT/VNA

Vietnam calls for stronger ASEAN unity, resilience

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang urged ASEAN to make full use of existing mechanisms to enhance dialogue, build trust and prevent risks and conflicts, particularly by strengthening the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), the Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone Treaty (SEANWFZ), and cooperation based on international law.

Vietnam steps up trade, investment promotion at China-ASEAN Expo

According to the CAEXPO Secretariat, Vietnam will once again lease an entire exhibition area of about 3,000sq.m, featuring 170 booths, making it one of the ASEAN countries with the largest exhibition spaces at this year’s event. Nearly 100 Vietnamese businesses have confirmed their participation, including major brands such as Trung Nguyen Group, TH Group, Saigon Coffee and Biti’s.

Vietnam reaffirms commitment to building resilient, inclusive and integrated ASEAN Labour Market

To this end, Vietnam proposed three strategic priorities for ASEAN cooperation. First, ASEAN should expand and harmonise mutual recognition mechanisms by increasing the scope and number of Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) in the region; and promote the role of the ASEAN TVET Council (ATC) in connecting national skills certification systems with regional and global standards, based on national occupational skills qualification frameworks and regional references.
