Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Investment ventures of 17 foreign firms worth some 200 million THB have been approved with 526 jobs to be created in Thailand.

Department ofBusiness Development (DBD) Director General Vuttikrai Leewiraphan revealed theForeign Business Commission has approved the 17 foreign firms to conductbusinesses in this country.

Most foreignfirms are from Japan, Singapore, and China, which will be making some 205million baht investments which will create 526 jobs for Thai people, andtransfer technological expertise and techniques from the foreign countries toThailand.

In January andFebruary, the committee has allowed business operations and investments to 34foreigners with a combined value of 395 million THB. – NNT/VNA
