Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Chon Buri province of Thailandand relevant organisations have collaborated to develop Pattaya into a city of"Tourism for All," by constructing facilities for the elderly andpersons with disabilities. 

The Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration(Public Organisation) and the Friendly Design For All Foundation of Thailand onMarch 1 launched a project to develop tourist sites under the concept ofTourism for All in Pattaya and its region.

The idea is to help everyone, regardless of their age and physical ability, totravel conveniently and safely. The concept of friendly design will be used todevelop the tourist sites. 

Minister of Tourism and Sports Weerasak Kowsurat and Minister of TransportArkhom Termpittayapaisith jointly presided over the opening ceremony of theproject in the province. 

Eighteen organisations in both the public and private sectorssigned an MoU on the establishment of Tourism for All tourist sites in theresort city.-VNA

Malaysia's layoffs rise 47% in first quarter

The report, based on figures from Malaysia’s Social Security Organisation, showed layoffs peaked in January with around 10,700 cases before easing to 7,500 in February and 5,900 in March. TAT estimated that around 500,000 foreign tourists visited Thailand during the April 11–15 period, generating about 8.1 billion THB, a 2% year-on-year increase. Domestic travel is projected at 5.96 million trips, up 7%, contributing about 22.25 billion THB, an annual rise of 8%.

Malaysia rolls out low-interest financing package for SMEs

The latest funding forms part of the government’s broader PowerUp10K campaign, a year-long initiative aimed at strengthening SMEs at different stages of growth.
