Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) plans to hold World Soil Day across the country in honour of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, viewed as soil scientist.
Thai Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Wiwad Sanyakamthorn said the MOAC will hold this year's Word Soil Day under the theme of "Be the Solution to Soil Pollution" in honour of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej who was respected as the world's first soil scientist for humanity.
The main event will be held during December 5-7 at Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture Office in Pathum Thani as well as events in all the provinces throughout December to contemplate the late King's contribution to soil and land development.
The Word Soil Day will focus on encouraging the public participation in solving the soil pollution and contribution to food safety and security to realise the Zero Hunger sustainable development goal by the year 2030.-NNT/VNA
