Ayutthaya province, an old capital of Thailand, is to hold “Three-Religion Relationship Promotion Festival” to promote local tourism through the presentation of its historical sites by the Chao Phraya river.
The festival will take place from September 4-6, 2015 at Chaiwatthanaram Temple.
Highlights of the festival will be light and sound shows and river cruise.
The shows will also present the civilization of Ayutthaya regime and how people in those days lived peacefully together.
The river cruise allows visitors to indulge culturally beautiful heritage by the river starting from Chaiwatthanaram Temple, passing through Dhammaram Temple, Siriyalai royal villa, Phet Fortress and Japanese Village before returning to the starting location. Visitors can also enjoy a food festival and select a wide range of souvenirs at the event.
The light and sound shows are scheduled twice a day at 7.45 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. whereas an hour-long river cruise is available once a day from 4 p.m - 5 p.m.-VNA
