Thailand-US military exercise kicks off

Around 725 Thai soldiers and 683 American troops are taking part in the Hanuman Guardian joint military exercise 2017 in Kanchanaburi province of Thailand.
Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – Around 725 Thai soldiers and 683 American troops aretaking part in the Hanuman Guardian joint military exercise 2017 in Kanchanaburiprovince of Thailand.

Held at the 9thInfantry Division headquarters, the joint military exercise is hosted by theRoyal Thai Army and the US Army Pacific. 

It is anannual training aimed at improving humanitarian assistance, disaster reliefcapabilities, infantry, aviation, medical and battle staff. 

Led by US Army Pacific Chief Brigadier General Peter B. Andrysiak, the exercisewill come to an end on August 25./.

RoK, Indonesia to launch cross-border QR payment system

The Bank of Korea (BOK) announced on February 4 that the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Indonesia will roll out a cross-border QR code–based payment system from April, aiming to facilitate cashless payments and travel between the two countries, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Cambodian media highlight upcoming visit by Vietnamese Party leader
